“Kustbevakningen har tre avancerade flygplan för sjöövervakning av typen Dash 8 Q-300. De benämns KBV 501, 502 och 503. Hemmabasen är Skavsta flygplats i Nyköping. Kustbevakningsflyget möjliggör en hög beredskap för miljö- och sjöräddningsinsatser till sjöss.Övervakning och spaning bedrivs längs hela den svenska kusten samt över Vänern och Mälaren året om, dygnet runt. Dessutom förekommer regelbundet internationella uppdrag.Varje flygbesättning består av två piloter och två systemoperatörer. Under flygningen har operatörerna hand om och ansvarar för spaningsutrustningen ombord.”

Welcome to the website of SAKKOLA. Sakkola was a community in Finland by the lake Ladoga near the Russian border until the second world war. Altogether 420.000 Carelian people had to move into other parts of the country in 1944. The Sakkola Foundation has helped the residents of the former Sakkola to live in the new areas and to maintain the Carelian cultural heritage.
